FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Detailed answers regarding Subsonic electric karts, battery runtimes, freight logistics, and warranty coverage.
What is the Subsonic S1 Mach 1?
The Subsonic S1 Mach 1 is a premium, race-grade electric kart engineered with an aerospace aluminum double-wishbone independent suspension, a high-strength chromoly steel chassis, and an active liquid-cooled QS motor generating up to 26 kW / 38 HP. It is designed for adults and youths (4’7″ to 6’2″) who want elite performance without gas engine maintenance.
What is the difference between the 72V 45Ah and 72V 65Ah configurations?
Both configurations run on the exact same high-voltage 72V architecture with high-discharge top tier 5C cells and produce the identical 38 HP peak output. The difference is battery capacity: the 45Ah pack provides approx. 25–35 minutes of aggressive wide-open track driving (or 45–60 mins cruising), while the 65Ah pack extends aggressive track runtime to approx. 45–55 minutes (or 75–95 mins cruising). Actual runtime depends on rider weight, terrain, and power mode.
How fast does the S1 Mach 1 go, and can I adjust the speed?
In unrestricted Track Pro mode, the S1 Mach 1 is capable of speeds exceeding 80+ MPH. Crucially, the ND controller is fully programmable with three quick-switch power profiles (Beginner 32 MPH, Advanced Sport 55 MPH, and Track Pro 80+ MPH). Parents and operators can also set a hard speed ceiling via software.
How is the kart shipped and delivered?
Each Subsonic kart is fully tested, calibrated on a dyno bench, and securely crated in a heavy-duty steel and wooden enclosure. We ship via specialized freight carriers with lift-gate service directly to your residential address or commercial track facility. A tracking number and freight dispatch call are provided prior to delivery.
What assembly is required upon delivery?
The S1 Mach 1 arrives 90% pre-assembled inside the crate. Final customer assembly takes approximately 20–30 minutes using the included tool set: installing the four wheels, securing the roll bar hoop bolts, checking tire pressures, and inspecting steering alignment before your maiden drive.
Can I purchase directly online, and what payment methods are accepted?
Yes! You can configure your battery pack and place your order directly through our secure checkout. We accept major credit cards, bank wire transfers, and verified e-commerce payment platforms. Once your order is confirmed, your build slot enters our fabrication and quality control pipeline.
What are the Subsonic Boom and Subsonic Zoom?
The Subsonic Boom and Subsonic Zoom are our streamlined electric kart models built for riders who want a simpler path to the track. Both deliver the Subsonic driving experience with a focused setup — designed so you can get rolling with minimal assembly and maximum time on the pavement.
What assembly is required for the Boom and Zoom?
Unlike the S1 Mach 1, the Boom and Zoom arrive nearly ready to ride. Upon delivery, you only need to hook up the battery and install the wing — that is the full assembly process. No wheel mounting, roll hoop bolting, or extended setup required. The larger Boom battery, 73V 58Ah, is $5,995.00.
How do the Boom and Zoom differ from the S1 Mach 1?
The S1 Mach 1 is our flagship race-grade kart with advanced suspension, programmable power profiles, and a fuller out-of-crate assembly. The Boom and Zoom are the simpler lineup options: they are built for a quicker start, with assembly limited to connecting the battery and installing the wing so you can get on the track faster.
